At Foot Soccer Pro, we share your passion for jerseys, which are more than just clothing. These unique pieces embody the spirit of your favorite team and the players you admire.
We understand how important you are to preserving the integrity of your jerseys. That’s why we’ve created this essential guide to help you keep them in pristine condition. Whether you proudly wear your team’s colors during matches, as a lifestyle item or treasure it as a souvenir, our tips will help you keep them looking like new.
Embroidered or heat-sealed decorations, such as player names and numbers, team and sponsor logos, deserve special attention. Follow our instructions to prevent them from getting damaged, peeling or damaged.
Whether you choose to wash your swimsuit gently by hand or put it in the washing machine, taking certain precautions, we will guide you step by step to guarantee that its colors remain vibrant and that its quality lasts over time.
MACHINE WASH
If you want to let your washing machine do the work of removing stubborn stains from your soccer jersey, we’ve got you covered with these steps:
1- Treat stains before washing
Remove all stubborn stains from your soccer jersey before putting it in the washing machine. Dampen the stain with cold water and apply a stain remover of your choice directly to the stain.
2- Separate the colors for washing
If you’re wondering if you should separate socks, shirts and football shorts when washing, the answer is yes! Colors from other clothes can rub off in the wash cycle, so it’s essential to separate light and dark colored items. Your soccer jersey has different color tones and is also likely made from different fabrics, each of which require different care. Another washing tip is not to mix your football shirts with other clothes, as for example the zippers and hooks of jeans can pull on the polyester fibers of your football shirt. Small fibers from cotton garments may also stick to heat-sealed logos and numbers, affecting their appearance.
3- Return your jersey
Before placing your football shirt in the washing machine, turn it inside out to protect crests, logos and stitching from abrasion.
4- Select a machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle
Use cold water in your wash cycle to prevent your football jersey decors from fading, shrinking or being damaged by heat.
5- Use bleach-free and color-safe detergent
Wash your soccer jersey with bleach-free detergent powder for best results. Many liquid detergents contain ingredients harmful to polyester swimwear.
6- Hang and air dry
Turn the jersey right side out after taking it out of the washing machine. We recommend that you do not use a dryer as the high levels of heat could melt the decor and badges on your football shirt. Instead, air dry your jersey in the shade or away from direct heat from the sun to prolong its life. If you want to be even more careful, another tip is to protect your football uniform from the direct heat of the sun by covering it with a thin cloth.
HAND WASHING
Many of the steps for washing your jersey by hand are similar to those in the washing machine, such as preparing your jersey for washing and air drying:
- Turn your football shirt inside out to protect crests and applications.
- Fill a basin with slightly lukewarm water and add your detergent, then soak your football jersey for 10 to 15 minutes.
- For heavily soiled swimwear, use your hands to remove any stains or marks. Squeeze the jerseys and swirl the water around them to make sure the whole jersey is clean.
- Rinse your swimsuit with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Squeeze it to remove excess water.
- Hang it to air dry after turning it right side up.
It is always better to wash your swimsuit by hand rather than in the washing machine.
These easy steps to cleaning your soccer jersey can also be used for soccer shorts and socks. By following this care guide, your football jersey will look like new after every wash.
